This November, I’m joining Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2025 to support ALK Positive Inc., an organization close to my heart.

When I was diagnosed in November 2013, ALK-positive lung cancer patients had only one approved line of therapy. Fast forward to 2025—yes, we have moved in the right direction, but we still need to develop immunotherapy treatments that help our immune system recognize and fight cancer cells.

ALK Positive Inc. is a self-funding nonprofit run by patients and care partners. The organization partners with pharma and academia to help design and develop clinical trials that can make this a reality for patients. I’m alive 12 years later because of clinical trials, and I am currently enrolled in my second one.

Cancer cells are smart. Patients need better therapies!
