After more than seventy years of giving strength and inspiration to everyone around him, brain surgery left Lennox Murrel visually impaired at the end of his life. One of the most compassionate, humor filled, and life appreciating people I've ever known. Lennox was a friend, a role model, and a great uncle to my son. I was honored and privileged to spend care giving time with Lennox these past months. Because of the resources of Lighthouse Central Florida, I knew how to be of the greatest help possible for Lennox as he faced the loss of his vision while also accepting his own terminal diagnosis. Lighthouse insights made it easier to give Lennox the support he deserved in his hospice year. Just recently, Lennox passed away peacefully and with dignity this February 2017. In honor of Lennox I am raising funds for Lighthouse Central Florida so that others have the support and information they need to assist loved ones in the most important times of their lives.
