Please help me to raise money for LearningWorks, a 53 year old organization in Portland, Maine with an incredible mission! LearningWorks reimagines learning through innovative programs that help children, adults, and families realize their potential and build thriving communities.
I work for LearningWorks as a case manager in their YouthBuild program. We work with individuals ages 16-24 who have struggled to find their way in the traditional education system. At YouthBuild they earn their HiSet, along with certifications in construction and culinary, while gaining job skills, leadership skills, and life skills that help prepare them for future careers. I have the pleasure of working with some amazing young adults who are pushing through to overcome many challenges. Their strength, resilience, and energy is inspiring.
