Madison Owusu-Afriyie is a determined equestrian who is always ready to seek more knowledge. At only 12, she has competed at many competitions leaving with blue, red and yellow ribbons.

My riding journey began late February in 2021, and since then my love for riding and everything to do with horses has grown. At 9, I went to my first riding lesson at Sweetwater Farms. Before I went to Sweetwater Farms, I never knew how much riding a horse could take determination, the trust, and bond between you and the horse.

I go to my lessons on Wednesdays and Sundays where I mainly do either flatwork or jumping.  I help/volunteer on Saturdays and Sundays. These days, I always learn something new about horses, something so interesting it makes me want to learn more, that's why I love horses, there's always more to learn!

With practically living at the barn, I have acquired many stable management and horse care skills that I think will help me extremely when I have a horse of my own. Also with being at the barn all the time I have built strong bonds with a lot of horses. When I hopefully lease me and that horse could grow

The specific fundraising goal I have for myself is to raise enough money to lease a horse (until I can own), expand on my horseback riding gear, like a new helmet, and maybe even new boots. So this is why you should consider helping me with the  fundraiser to help me lease a horse.
