Hi, we're Laura and Rick — proud parents to our two beautiful babies in heaven, Leo and Sophia.
In July 2020, we lost our sweet boy Leo at 20 weeks due to hydrocephalus and a hole in his heart. Just a year later, in August 2021, our precious daughter Sophia was stillborn at 29 weeks. Losing them both was devastating, but their love and presence continue to guide us every single day. They’ve shaped who we are as parents and inspired us to turn our grief into purpose.
That’s why we're walking with the Star Legacy Foundation — an incredible organization dedicated to stillbirth and pregnancy loss awareness, research, education, and family support. Their mission brings hope to families like ours and helps create a world where fewer parents experience this kind of heartbreak.
Our Remembrance Walk will take place this Saturday, November 1st, at 10 AM at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY. We're walking in honor of Leo and Sophia, and for all the babies gone too soon.
If you’d like to support our team or learn more about Star Legacy’s mission, your kindness means the world. Together, we can help bring more awareness, compassion, and hope to families everywhere. ?
