 For the last 2 years I have been an active member of the LifeWalk Steering Committee and have participated in various outreach events during this time as well as the biggest event, LifeWalk, that benefits Prism Health North Texas. I had been a volunteer quite a few years back and decided that I needed to get back to being active in doing something to help end HIV. 

I lost a very treasured family member near the beginning of the AIDS Epidemic. It was heartbreaking and will forever have an impact. Having been through this, it is my wish that by helping to eradicate this disease, others will not have to go through the same thing my family and I did. I volunteer and walk in memory of my cherished Uncle who will forever live in our hearts. 

This event is very dear to me and I want to be an active part of the community to see that we together can end HIV. Each October, I look forward to joining thousands of individuals at the annual LifeWalk Event as we walk together to end HIV.
