Fanny always harbored a vision: her own bakery. This dream was named Capulí Cakes. Yet, transforming this aspiration into a business demanded more than just passion—it required financial knowledge and the right resources. This is where our Economic Wellness team of dedicated Certified Financial Social Workers stepped in.
Our financial social worker tailored a plan specifically for Fanny, guiding her through the intricacies of finance with one-on-one coaching sessions. Together, they focused on setting realistic goals, devising a budget, and kick-starting a savings plan, steadily equipping her to take control of her financial future. Fanny furthered her financial knowledge by attending education classes at LifeWise StL, where she not only mastered budgeting and investing but also connected with a supportive community. Through our Individual Development Account (IDA) program, Fanny received a significant boost to her entrepreneurial journey.
Her savings of $2,000 was matched by $4,000, enabling her to bring her bakery dream to life. Now, Capuli Cakes not only offers delightful treats but also serves as an inspiration for other dreamers in our community.

Spring Bling is LifeWise StL's annual fundraiser that focuses on raising awareness and funding for our women's empowerment programming.
Where is the event?
This event is held at the Missouri Athletic Club - Downtown, located at 405 Washington Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63102.
Where should I park?
Park in the Missouri Athletic Club Garage - 406 Lucas Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63102. Parking validation will be provided for all attendees.
What should I wear?
We love when you show off your style! Bright colors and prints are encouraged! The Missouri Athletic Club has a dress code which specifies dresses, suits, pant suits or blazer and slacks for women and suits, or dress shirts and slacks for men.
