I am on a mission to help Big Brothers Big Sisters match more youth to caring adults in our community. Youth that receive professionally-supported, community-based mentorship improve their academics, have healthy attitudes toward risky behaviors, and have stronger mental and social health. This organization has been impacting Lincoln for nearly 55 years! BBBS works to match youth with adult mentors who help them achieve their full potential and guide them toward their biggest possible futures.

We all have a mentorship story. For me, in addition to being a Little Brother myself, I had amazing music teachers who saw my potential and invested in me. When we didn’t have the money for private lessons, they provided them for me and encouraged me to pursue that passion. Now, music is a core part of my life, both through the military (my Big Brother was also in the military!) and in my personal joy.

I have also had the privilege of being Zion's Big Brother for over 10 years. He's almost 21 now, and has taught me perhaps more than I have him. Through good times and tough times, the resilience of our relationship shaped us both.

Mentorship impacts not only the youth in our community, but also their family and the mentors themselves. Please join me in supporting this important mission for Lincoln and our youth.
