Literacy NJ's funding is at risk, and so are the opportunities to obtain a better job, a high school diploma, citizenship, and the confidence to speak to a doctor, teacher or neighbor.
This year, I had the privilege of teaching a Computer and Job Readiness class to an incredible group of women. Most were stay-at-home moms who had paused their careers due to limited access to childcare and/or a lack of professional experience or credentials needed to reenter the workforce.
Through this course, they gained not only practical computer knowledge and workplace competencies, but also renewed confidence in their ability. Watching them support one another, tackle new challenges, and reenter the workforce has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
With your support, we can continue to offer programs like this one. Please consider making a donation to help Literacy NJ's mission to ensure that more adults have the opportunities to learn and succeed.
Thank you,
Rae
