Since 1979, Literacy NJ has been helping students like Braulio improve their lives and achieve personal goals. As a tutor, I have personally seen students make trememdous strides in their life - they have found new jobs, helped their children in school, earned certificates and degrees, and become US citizens.

Although our classes are free to students, there is a cost to provide them:  tutors need training to be effective in the classroom,  students need to be assessed to track and measure progress, and tutors and students need textbooks and other resources to facilitate and reinforce learning.
