Frequently Asked Questions

For Donors

Can I make a donation via cash, check or donor-advised fund?

Yes to all three! You can donate through this site, or via cash or check. Checks should be made payable to NEF.

Donations can be given to students to turn in at Lincoln Junior High, or mailed directly to the Naperville Education Foundation (NEF) at 203 W. Hillside, Naperville, IL 60540. All donations by cash, check or donor-advised fund must include a note of the student's first and last name. Funds will be applied to the student's fundraising account within 2 business days of being received  by the NEF office.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

The Naperville Education Foundation (NEF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Illinois corporation. All gifts are tax deductible based on federal IRS regulations. Please consult your tax advisor for details. All donors will receive a donation acknowledgement via email.

EIN: 36-3844402

My company offers matching gifts. Can they contribute?

Yes! Any paperwork needed for matching gift processing can be sent to the NEF office at nef@naperville203.org or 203 W. Hillside, Naperville, IL 60540.

What will my donation help support?

100% of donations support students!

Home & School partnered with the Naperville Education Foundation (NEF) to power the fundraising quest. Half of each donation goes directly to Lincoln's Home & School and half goes to support NEF-funded district-wide programs that benefit students and teachers at Lincoln and every Naperville 203 school.

Your tax-deductible Lancer Quest donations support:

  • WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program for incoming 6th graders
  • Teacher and staff wishlists for improving classrooms
  • Student events, celebrations, and recognition
  • Assistance for students and families in-need (NEF)
  • Robotics and before and after school programs (NEF)
  • Teacher and student grants (NEF)
  • ...and more!

What will my donation help support? How is NEF involved in the fundraiser?

100% of donations support students!

Home & School partnered with the Naperville Education Foundation (NEF) to power the fundraising quest. Half of each donation goes directly to Lincoln's Home & School and half goes to support NEF-funded district-wide programs that benefit students and teachers at Lincoln and every Naperville 203 school.

NEF and Home & School worked together to create a new fundraiser with parent feedback in mind. This pilot fundraiser, which is happening only at Lincoln, does not ask students or families to sell any items. 100% of donations support students and stay in the school district, rather than having a significant percentage go to an outside fundraising company. All donations are fully tax-deductible. NEF built the fundraiser and provides the tools, structure, communications and prizes to power the fundraiser.

NEF's district-wide programs support students at Lincoln and every Naperville 203 school. Last year alone at Lincoln, NEF funded the FIRST Lego League robotics team, Study Skills Academy, a $1,000 School Appreciation Grant, and an Express Grant for the Crochet Club. In addition, half of the funds raised by TEAM NEF members running or walking on behalf of Lincoln Junior High as Charity Heroes for NEF went directly to the school.

Your tax-deductible Lancer Quest donations support:

How do I ask people to donate to my fundraising?

Think of who in your life (family, friends, your parents/guardians' work friends,...anyone!) might like to donate to support your quest and your school! Share your link via text, email, or social media. The email you received after signing up includes some sample messages you can use!

(Please do not send your link to students or your teachers - they are already supporting the school!)

Every donation makes a difference! The more people you ask, the bigger your chances are of helping Lincoln meet our fundraising goal!
