"Kalman will be 6 years old by the time this event occurs. He was diagnosed with Autism with a speech delay when he was approximately 2 1/2. Since then he's had some wonderful therapists and teachers who have helped us on this journey. Kalman is beginning to talk and advance. He amazes us all everyday.
Educating others about Autism is a huge part of any family's journey. People with Autism see the world at a different angle, it doesn't make them wrong or not normal, just different. Going through this journey has taught me to be a much more compassionate, understanding person. Hopefully through education and awareness many more people will begin to look at the world differently and adjust their definition of "normal".
Kalman is smart and sweet... and blessed to hava a wonderful older brother, John, and parents Erika & Joe, who are all amazing and love him unconditionally.....
