Arya Jade
May 11, 2018 I was 33 weeks pregnant with my daughter, Arya Jade and went to a routine appointment to check my blood sugar. What should have been an easy 15 minute visit quickly turned into the longest and worst day of my life.
“I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat.”
Everything blurred around me. I heard strange noises and cries of anguish. It took a minute to realize the sounds were mine. The nurse left the room. I slide off the bed onto the floor to call my husband.
I’ll spare you the rest of painful memories from that day which will haunt me for life.
Arya came silently into the world at 10:30, weighing 3lbs 1oz. She was delivered via Csection. She was tiny, beautiful, and perfect.
Saying goodbye to her is a pain I could never have imagined. A pain I would never wish on anyone.
As I searched for answers I found a group of women who had experienced similar loss, and together we formed the Virginia chapter of The Star Legacy Foundation. With a mission to prevent stillbirth, my healing began.
2 months after having Arya I was blessed to get pregnant with twins. Owen Cade and Ella Rey who will be 1.5yrs old soon.
Arya’s nursery was going to be Star Wars themed. She was our Jedi Princess.
Please consider joining or donating to my team, Arya’s Alliance, to help me honor her by raising money to help prevent stillbirth.
