In 2015, our daughter Eloise was stillborn at 33 weeks due to Preeclampsia. Her pregnancy had been easy and full of dreams - until everything changed. One day we were imagining who she would grow up to be, and the next we were saying hello and goodbye in the same breath.

We named her Eloise Rose Price. My (Abby's) middle name, and my sister's initials. She will always be our daughter.

Joel, Addie, Ollie, and I will be walking in her honor to raise funds for Healthy Birth Day, Inc.

For us, this walk is more than an event. It's a way to keep Eloise's memor alive and push for a future where fewer families have to endure this kind of heartbreak. We talk about Eloise in our home every day. Her memory lives on in elephant keepsakes around our house, in the birthdays we spend traveling to escape the pain of being home without her, and in our ongoing grief - a journey that never ends, only changes.

We've learned that grief doesn't follow a timeline. You can be laughing with your kids one minute and completely undone the next. We've learned how hard it is to grieve differently from your partner and how that can stretch your relationship in unexpected ways. And we've seen that even our living children carry the weight of a sibling they never got to meet.

But we've also leanred the beauty of connection - especially with other loss families who GET IT. Events like this remind us we are not alone. And neither are you.

This year, our goal is to raise $200 or more to support the life-saving work of Healthy Birth Day, Inc. Every dollr counts toward better education, stronger advocacy, and the research needed to save lives.
