Yes, I am actually growing a mustache...again. And yes, I will look a little ridiculous for the next month.....again. But it is for a great cause!
M4K Richmond improves the quality of life for local children through individual fundraising, partnering with local charities and businesses, and having a little bit of fun with facial hair. Basically we grow mustaches for a month as a marketing tool to raise money for local children's charities.
Last year we gave over $308,000 to local charities focused on helping children and families in our community. This year we will again be supporting some of the same wonderful charities such as ASK, SCAN, Children's Hospital Foundation, Feedmore, Friends Association for Children, Cameron K Gallagher, and Friends of the Homeless. Children's Hospital Foundation of Richmond is especially close to my heart for all the help they provide to my oldest son Carter. I truly don’t know what we would do without their expertise and commitment to my family. CHoR has done so much to support my son and my family over the last 10 years.
Last year I raised over $4,500 with your great support. This year I’m hoping to top the $5,000 mark!
My greatest mustache moment in 2014, I was given the honor of being named "Sweetest Stache". This award goes to the best overall grower considering fundraising and contributions to the effort. It was truly humbling to be given the green jacket. One of the duties of Sweetest Stache is to throw out the first pitch at the Squirells Mustache Night in May. Watch me bring the heat!!
