There are many missions that are fighting the evil against child trafficking and sexual exploitation. A week ago I saw Dr. Jeff Brodsky, founder of Joy International on a television program and was inspired by his compassion and story. He has an amazing testimony and heart for God and those who are innocent and vulnerable. In 2011 when he was in Cambodia he observed that almost all of the children who lived on the streets and in dumps were barefoot. In a leading by God he was compelled to go barefoot for one year to bring awareness to others about this growing issue. At the end of that year, he chose to continue walking barefoot because those children were still out there. He's been barefoot in solidarity with this cause and these children ever since. One way to contribute to this mission is through activities, volunteering, donations and fundraising. I am choosing to participate in a sponsored The Barefoot Mile. A few days after hearing Dr. Brodsky, I found the Mountain Community Barefoot Mile event in Evergreen Colorado on Saturday, June 22, and decided to take up the challenge: of raising some money and walking a mile barefoot!!! Thank you for taking the time to read this. You certainly can contribute to this mission by contributing to my walk and/or praying for vulnerable children and those who are fighing this battle! May you be greatly blessed by your prayers and donations!
