March 1: Maroon Madness begins.
March 21 at 11:00 a.m. (CST): Deadline to get brackets.
March 21 through April 8: Brackets locked, but class contributions accepted
April 9: Bracket and Class winners announced
Prizes
The winner of the bracket will receive a 4KHD TV (or gift card in similar value).
The winning class will receive a commemorative class brick paver laid near the Alumni Pavilion and/or naming rights to the Ballas or Emerson drive for one (1) year.
Anyone who makes a gift will also be automatically entered into a raffle drawing for a $100 gift card to the recently updated De Smet Jesuit Spartan Shop.
Enter The Madness!
The Maroon Madness Tournament is back! Support De Smet Jesuit and help boost your class giving percentage by buying a bracket and/or making a contribution. This De Smet Jesuit Alumni competition to find out which class is the truly best in “team” giving.
There is an individual NCAA bracket challenge as well. The class with the highest overall percentage at the end of the tournament will be the Class Champion, and the winner of the bracket challenge will be the Individual Champion!

How to Play
- Make a gift to De Smet Jesuit on the Maroon Madness website or Venmo to @DeSmetJesuit (must include full name, grad year, and "Maroon Madness 2024" in description). The minimum gift per bracket is $20, but you are welcome to give more if you can!
- After your gift is made, the bracket link will be emailed to you (this will go out after the tournament is set and brackets open).
- All Bracket Challenge participants must have their brackets completed before the first round games begin. If you do not fill out a bracket, any gifts made will count toward your class competition totals.
- After brackets lock, those who did not participate are still welcome to make a gift to help boost their class giving percentage.
- The class with the highest overall giving percentage will be the Maroon Madness Class Champion, and the winning NCAA bracket will be the Maroon Madness Bracket Champion.
Rules
- Minimum gift amount is $20 per bracket, but you are encouraged to give more if you can!
- Limit of up to 10 bracket per person.
- Multiple gifts by an individual can support a class’ over dollar amount, but not participation.
- Total raised will be used as a tiebreaker for class overall giving percentage.
- Cannot make contributions on behalf of another alumnus.
- Bracket name must include your name and grad year.
- Sharing bracket link and brackets not linked to a donation are ineligible.
- No pledges allowed.
