"In an effort to increase interest and desire to learn coding basics and fundamental concepts in computer science I am hoping to strengthen and increase my resources available to students in my Makerspace area.  Concepts of coding foster critical thinking, problem solving and creativity.  These are essential skills for navigating an increasingly digital world.”

Our Wolford students really enjoy using Wonder Workshop Dash Robots and a new device that we received last year called a Sphero Indi.  These are robotic devices that students can maniuplate, maneuver and control through block coding.  I would like to purchase 2 more Dash Robots as several of our robots may be close to end of life since they have been with us for years and don’t always function properly.  I would also like to purchase 3 more Sphero Indi Robot sets.  This would enable a full class to use them (working in pairs) to learn basic coding skills and more advanced concepts such as continuous looping.
