Grant Wish - 

Many of our Newcomer Emergent Bilingual Students who are served in the ESL Department come from countries and circumstances that have never provided them the opportunity to participate in an educational field trip to a museum, particularly one as advanced and hands-on as the Perot Museum of Science in Dallas Texas. Most of these students are low SES and qualify for free lunch. We plan to take no more than 50 Emergent Bilingual Students on a field trip to the Perot Museum and, after, have them experience Klyde Warren Park for a late lunch - to enjoy time outside in the fresh air, participate in table and yard games, and enjoy the experience of food trucks. Kate Trusty and I truly want our students to have possibly a once in a lifetime educational opportunity.
