The mission of the Marin Foster Care Association is to achieve consistent, safe, quality care for the well being of all foster children by providing support services and advocacy to their caregivers.  The MFCA is a non-profit, volunteer organization that provides support, education, enrichment and social activities for the entire foster community.

This will be my third year participating in the MFCA Walkathon.  Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to work closely with the MFCA volunteers and am inspired by all they are able to accomplish for the community they serve. The MFCA provides so much, from tangible things like clothing and school supplies, funds for tutoring or enrichment activities, to hosting an annual summer picnic and winter holiday party, as well as providing monthly caregiver support groups and education/training nights.
