Dear Friends and Family – 

I'm writing to you today to ask if you will join me in making a donation to Marin Foster Care Association, a small but mighty grassroots non-profit directly supporting kids in foster care and the families caring for them in many important ways. 

I've been dedicated to MFCA's work with children and teens, as well as the education and support we give to foster families, for eight years! I've seen firsthand, again and again, how important community support is in sustaining foster families. The Walkathon, our biggest annual fundraising event, is Sunday, May 21st from 2-3:30 pm in San Rafael. Thank you to those of you who supported me last year, when I was in Marin and walked amidst a diverse group of community members dedicated to foster kids and cheering on the families devoted to giving them safe and caring homes.

MFCA's mission is to ensure consistent, quality care for the well-being of every foster child and to provide support services and advocacy to the families caring for them. Funds raised boost our Opportunity Fund. This Fund provides scholarships for extracurricular activities such as sports, music and art.  This funding also keeps our Community Resource Center open, providing clothing, school supplies, holiday gifts and more to children in out-of-home care.
