When I joined the NYC Gay Men's Chorus in January of 2017, I had no idea what a profound impact it would have on me, or my identity as a gay man.

Never in a million years did I think that I would find so much comfort and so much warmth from people that I had never even met before. But I did. And that is probably one the most AMAZING things about this organization: we represent love, we represent the unity of all peoples no matter who you are, where you come from, what pronouns you use, what you look like, or who you choose to love. There is no judgement, only open arms welcoming you to a family of almost 300 people that would be at your apartment in a New York City minute with a tub of Ben & Jerry's if they knew you were having a time.

However, being a member of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus is more than just getting together with a bunch of guys to make music. Although we do create fabulous music for the enjoyment of thousands, together we also make positive strides for issues of social justice and create a safe space and community for hundreds.

In order to do this, however, we need YOU. Yes, YOU! And, sometimes, in order to make the world a truly better place, that requires some action...and by action, in this case, I mean donation. Whether that means a Lincoln or a Benjamin, I am asking YOU to take just a moment to consider this: your tax-deductible gift creates something far beyond its monetary value. When you give, you support the NYCGMC's voice in the fight for equality and LGBTQ visibility. Your contribution allows the NYCGMC to continue to provide a safe place for that commmunity to find their voice through song.
