Welcome to the NYCGMC 2018 Membership Fundraising Drive!  The New York City Gay Men's Chorus is a world-class, world-renowned institution and a pioneering voice for the LGBTQ community.  Our mission--to build bridges through song--is carried out via our annual concert series, community outreach, and our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equality.  As the Chorus begins its 40th season, we need your help to continue bringing the joy of our music and the passion of our community outreach to NYC and beyond!

Our 2017/18 season's highlights included our performances with Angel City Chorale in Queer Genius: Bowie and Beyond and at AIDS Walk NY, and our fabulous and inspiring trip to Mexico to sing with our friends, Coro Gay Ciudad de Mexico and Coro Gay Puerto Vallarta, as well as our sold-out Holiday Slay and Big Gay Sing X concerts at NYU's Skirball Center.

Our 2018/19 season is well underway with rehearsals for our beautiful holiday show, Comfort and Joy (December 14-16, 2018), and plans for Big Gay Sing XI: Bootylicious in March 2019.  We will cap off our season next June by commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with a joint concert with Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles at Carnegie Hall, during World Pride 2019 in NYC. For more information about us, and to purchase tickets to our upcoming concert season, please visit www.nycgmc.org.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of friends like you.  Please help us keep our song alive!

Calder's NYCGMC Fundraising Page

I’ve been excitedly telling anyone who will sit and listen how grateful I am to have been afforded the opportunity to join the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus this year. It’s a testament to my remarkable ignorance, lack of imagination and limited self-awareness (not to mention self-deprecation) that I was shocked to discover the answer to some of the larger problems in my life, which were manifesting as depression, loneliness and unhealthy coping mechanisms, were stemming from a lack of fellowship and habit which could be solved by joining a community of (mostly) like-minded (mostly) queer folks who meet regularly and have at least one interest in common: singing! That’s a rather long-winded way of saying that I’m glad I joined the choir because I like to sing, I’m making friends, and it’s making me happier. -- Calder
