Welcome to the NYCGMC 2018 Membership Fundraising Drive!

Each fall the members of the Chorus reach out for our member donation drive.

In my 34 years in the Chorus, I have seen much change as we continue our mission of changing lives through song.

I am asking for your help to make this season a success. It doesn't matter whether it is $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 or more. We need your help. Our season is filled with activities to continue our goal of full equality for all throughout the USA and the world.

We have sung for weddings and memorials, we have sung in nursing homes and hospitals. We have held programs in schools and with women dealing with AIDS. We have supported LGBTQ youth through our Youth Pride Chorus and have performed for our LGBTQ elders with our program at SAGE.

We have sung at benefits to raise funds for GMHC, for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We have had performances at great concert halls - Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Metropolitan Opera House. We have toured and raised funds for AIDS organizations internationally and helped raise funds for Ireland's Marriage Equality initiative.

Our programming ranges from holiday fare to audience sing-along to message concerts. Some of our message concerts have included dealing with addiction and also dealing with the current state of HIV and AIDS.

We have hosted major celebrities as well as other gay choruses from around the USA and internationally as well. Recently we have had choruses from London, Mexico City and Los Angeles join us on stage. We have performed with MAX on a 9/11 special for ESPN and also recently appeared with Keala Settle for the Global Citizens Festival in Central Park.

This season will culminate with a commemoration performance at Carnegie Hall for the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. That week is also World Pride in NYC which will be a huge!

Our 2018/19 season is well underway with rehearsals for our beautiful holiday show, Comfort and Joy (December 14-16, 2018), and plans for Big Gay Sing XI: Bootylicious in March 2019.  We will cap off our season next June by commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with a joint concert with Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles at Carnegie Hall, during World Pride 2019 in NYC. For more information about us, and to purchase tickets to our upcoming concert season, please visit www.nycgmc.org.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of friends like you.  Please help us keep our song alive!
