In an attempt to better myself and to better understand myself, I have decided that this is the year to pursue the passions that I have been wanting to pursue for years. I have always enjoyed singing and I have always wanted to join a chorus of like minded individuals that share my passion and I have always said, "one day". Well, that day came at last. I decided that I will fulfill my wish and pursue my goal and found the NYC GMC website on day one of three consecutive days of auditions. Though I had no time to prepare and I had reservations of going to the audition for that reason, I decided that we cannot get anywhere in life without taking the first step and rehearsed my heart out walking to the rehearsal despite the looks on the pedestrians that I passed. I told myself, "I have no expectations, only control over how I want to feel. So no matter what happens, I know I will have a great time knowing that I pushed my boundaries and auditioned anyway!" By some miracle, I was accepted into the chorus with open arms and now I am pursuing my dream of being a part of something greater than myself that makes me fulfilled. Please help me keep this wonderful organization going for all of my chorus mates that have the same feeling of fulfillment and for all of the love and passion that we share with the world through song!
