Welcome to the NYCGMC 2022 Membership Fundraising Drive!

The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus is an internationally renowned performing arts institution in New York City, a pioneering voice for the LGBTQ+ community, and a dear chosen family for me for almost three years now. I truly found my voice because of this chorus, and I wouldn't be the person I am today without it.

I joined this chorus in January of 2020, and spent three months falling in love with the organization before we had to suspend singing in March 2020. After a long pause, I was ecstatic to be the first from that Jan'20 class to perform with the chorus last fall, at a small caroling concert on the steps of the NYPL. That moment affirmed for me precisely why I knew I needed to come back; this is my home, and singing with these people is the best choice I've made in NYC.

I hope you'll help me support this organization's longevity in our annual fundraiser. Know that by doing so, you are helping to give queer people in New York City a beautiful place to shine. We thank you for it.

The NYCGMC’s 2022-23 season will present three concerts in December 2022, March 2023, and June 2023. For more information, please visit www.nycgmc.org.

As a non-profit organization, NYCGMC relies on the generosity of donors to support this important work and to keep our song alive.  Your support allows NYCGMC to amplify our mission and our voices at this important moment.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!

In addition to our three mainstage shows, NYCGMC annually presents over forty outreach activities across all five boroughs and beyond. Previous years’ outreach performances have included appearances at LGBTQ+ teen homeless shelters, at SAGE (Services and Advocacy for older LGBTQ+ people), and at corporate and public pride celebrations. The NYCGMC has performed at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Yankee Stadium; at gala fundraisers for the Swish Ally Fund and the Ackerman Institute; and at the Brooklyn Museum and the Global Citizen concert in Central Park, among many others.  Television appearances including Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, and Last Week Tonight have provided a national platform for the mission. In June 2022, the NYCGMC performed in the 75th Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall. Through technical assistance and joint concerts, the NYCGMC supports development of LGBTQ+ choruses in the U.S. and internationally.  NYCGMC’s school outreach program has served over 2,000 NYC public middle and high school students.
