Midwest Eye Consultants

South Bend

At Midwest Eye Consultants, we understand the importance of community. Each year we make efforts to strengthen our ties with the people of South Bend. By becoming involved with events such as Habitat for Humanity, the annual Children's Wellness Fair, and Reins of Life, we are able to lend a helping hand wherever one is needed. We understand that if the people in your community need a home, you build one. If the people in your community need health assistance, you do your best. If the people in your community wish to improve quality of life, you support them. Although our patients know we are a practice that endeavors to help them see their best, we also strive to do the same within our community.

A part of the South Bend community, Leader Dogs for the Blind employs programs that empower visually impaired people. They go above and beyond for their clients as, like us, they know that each person is an individual with unique needs. Working with Leader Dogs for the Blind, we will be able to once again extend a helping hand, supporting a cause that closely mirrors our own. Drs. Kyle J. Antos and John A. Jones, along with staff, are excited to work together and venture toward a community that restores sight, however possible.  Collaborating with Leader Dogs for the Blind will give us the chance to do just that: change lives for the better.

"Unfortunately, there are patients we cannot help within the scope of our practice. Partnering with Leader Dogs for the Blind allows us to help those patients beyond our office walls whom we previously could not reach. Through values that reflect respect, compassion, and the desire to do what is right, they are able give their clients an independence that greatly influences their life experiences." - Kyle J. Antos, O.D.

"Leader Dogs for the Blind is an outstanding organization that provides a life-changing service to those who are visually impaired. Through community donations and volunteering they are able to expertly train guide dogs, as well as educate those who will have the assistance of the guide dog, no matter the financial background of the client. This organization is able to give back independence to it's clients. It is amazing to see footage of the bond the guide dog and client share. Their mission is one we need to ensure continues its reach in the visually impaired community." - John A. Jones, O.D.
