Midwest Eye Consultants in Peru has been committed to the community over the years. We are very involved in our community by participating in the local chili cook-offs, and our doctors and staff travel to surrounding schools to give children free vision screenings. We are also involved in the only Circus Parade in the U.S. (after all we are the circus capital of the world). We are excited to be able to touch the lives of people in our community and the entire nation.

Partnering with Leader Dogs for the Blind will allow us to raise awareness and funds for multiple programs the organization supports and that assist visually impaired people. We will be able to reach out to people not only in our community, but surrounding communities and the entire nation. Dr. Meg Guthrie-Pennington and Dr. Andrew DuPre, as well as our staff, strive to provide excellent care for our patients. Midwest Eye Consultants and the Leader Dog for the Blind mission statements are reflective of each other, so we knew this partnership was a perfect fit. Caring for our patients and partnering with the Leader Dog program will allow us to take our patient care a step further.
