We are excited to announce that our annual Celebration for Education is scheduled for Derby Day - Saturday, May 3, 2025 - at the Boston Quincy Marriott (1000 Marriott Dr, Quincy). This event honors and promotes the incredible happenings within the Milton Public Schools, and we would be delighted to have you as a guest on this special occasion.  Since 1995, your contributions have made a remarkable difference, with over $4,000,000 distributed to support over 55,000 students in all six Milton Public Schools. Your support has significantly expanded Milton's educational offerings, providing opportunities that have enriched the lives of our students. In the past the MFE has been able to support extremely impactful initiatives, such as:

  • GRANTS: In the past four years alone, we have funded nearly $150,000 in teacher grants that enrich classroom and extracurricular initiatives.
  • EXPERIENCES: While the district provides high-quality education in the schools, we help enrich students experiences beyond the classroom by funding grade-wide experiences that impact vast swaths of students—from field trips to events focused on the transition from elementary to middle to high school.
  • SCHOLARSHIPS: Each year, MFE awards up to three scholarships to Milton High School seniors pursuing further education upon graduation, which helps lighten families financial load.  
  • TEACHER OF THE YEAR: One of the pinnacles of our work is recognizing Milton's amazingly dedicated educators. In memory of our beloved board member who passed away in June of this year, we have rolled out the Kate Middleton Rookie of the Year Award to recognize and retain Milton's newest teachers specifically.

As with past events, we will have a special Teacher of the Year portion of the program, where the winners will be honored.
