MindsEye's 18th annual "gala" event will look different this year but will be no less thrilling! Thanks to a partnership with Chef Liz Schuster of Tenacious Eats, the first-ever MindsEye Drive-In will be a night of movies, themed courses, signature cocktails, music, auctions, and more.
The Drive-In will raise over twenty percent of MindsEye’s annual operating budget. These vital funds will open doors of opportunity, accessibility, and connection for Greater St. Louis community members who are blind and visually impaired. This event will be attended by many influential individuals, organizations, and citizens dedicated to supporting MindsEye's mission and vision.
Translating Vision Into Audio
MindsEye builds a more inclusive community by translating vision into audio for individuals who are blind or visually impaired-- because everyone in our region deserves equal access to essential news, information, rewarding recreation, and artistic and cultural experiences.
The Broadcast Information Program provides listeners access to long-form journalism, local news, and even grocery store ads. The Audio Description Program enables every person who attends a theatre production or museum exhibit the chance to enjoy a rewarding experience. The BeepBall Program raises awareness and support for athletes who are blind or visually impaired. The Arts and Culture Accessibility Cooperative provides a forum for local cultural institutions to learn about and discuss accessibility.
For over 45 years MindsEye has been the only service of its kind in the Greater Saint Louis area. All MindsEye services are offered free of charge thanks to generous supporters like you.
