The Education Foundation of Sarasota County is partnering with the Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) to provide a valuable and much needed sensory aid for special needs children in Sarasota County Schools. The Miracle Belt™ is a pediatric weighted therapy belt proven to promote self-calming, balance, and increased body awareness for children with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and many other sensory based disorders.
Miracle at Suncoast is a unique event to raise funds and provide every special needs child in the Sarasota County School system with the Miracle Belt™. There are 6,200 children in the Sarasota County Schools diagnosed with special/sensory needs, 526 children in the autism program alone, who will benefit. The event will showcase Sarasota County Schools’ amazing student performances and a children’s fashion show.
