From Poverty to Prosperity
For the past 30 years, Pakistan has been facing hardships due to extreme climates,. Six months ago, Pakistan had faced extreme flooding due to the rise of global temperatures causing excessive rain and glaciers to dissolve. This devastating crisis has caused Pakistan to drown in poverty.
Water from severe flooding has swept many out of their homes throughout Pakistan. Many people are facing unsanitary conditions, such as unsafe drinking water, filthy clothing, and contaminated food. Families throughout Pakistan are lacking resources, and even a roof to live under. Young children are wandering around heavily-trafficked, unsafe roads, begging people for money without proper adult supervision. Yet some tend to drive past and not even glance once at these poor children or lend them a helping hand.
