Gaza has been suffering since tensions escalated in October and is still suffering 5 months later. Israel has mercilessly bombed and killed almost 30,000 people and injured about 69,000. 1 in 4 families is facing catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity. Additionally, more than 90% of the population has been displaced with hundreds of thousands of people sleeping in the open with inadequate clothing to fight the cold. Aid is needed but is tricky due to the blockade. Islamic Relief is working to deliver medical supplies to hospitals and provide life-saving support to families in need, including ready-to-eat meals, hygiene kits, and counseling for children.

IRUSA is aiding for 

• Distribution of food parcels sourced by local farmers in Gaza to displaced families 
• Provision of hygiene kits to people in shelters
• Provision of vital medical supplies to three hospitals including Hayfa Hospital, Al-Awda Hospital, and Al-Ahli Arab Hospital
• Access to mobile clinics for 23,400 people in shelters
• Immediate trauma response for 4,000-5,000 people 
• Winter aid including blankets, mattresses, and winter clothing
