MJC’s Literature and Language Arts Division has a long tradition of bringing to the MJC campus and local community its Visiting Author Series.  Your gift will help carry on this tradition and provide students with a chance to rub elbows with the most talented authors of our time.  Our visiting authors visit several classes in a single day, sharing their excitement in the fine art of writing.  Hearing passages from the authors’ own lips and hearing the stories behind the stories is an inspiration.  You can be an inspiration today with your gift to this important cause.

Some of the acclaimed authors have included Patricia Smith, Gary Soto, Randa Jarrar, Brian Turner, Dimitri Keriotis, Daniel Chacón, Rafael Navarro, Frederick Luis Aldama, Lilliam Rivera, and Sudan’s “Lost Boys,” Benjamin Ajak, Benson Deng, and Alephonsion Deng.
