MJC Centennial Giving Campaign
Modesto Area Partners in Science (MAPS)
Our Fundraising Page
During these trying times, it is more important than ever that we strive to improve science literacy in our area.
Modesto Area Partners in Science (MAPS) is an association of area scientists dedicated to the science literacy. For 30 years MAPS has hosted live science talks on issues of interest to the community. MAPS is the best attended lecture series in our region. In order to continue offering this free program to our students and community members, we need your help.
Your contribution will enable MAPS to extend the search for speakers beyond our typical 100 mile radius. Your contribution will enable MAPS to offer presentations for audiences of all ages, which require more funds than our current budget allows.
MAPS gives Stanislaus County a unique educational presence, and countless numbers of students have been inspired to learn more science and pursue science majors.
Fund Raising Goal $5,000 – This will cover the speaker stipends for 1 year, or 8 programs, and secure the funds necessary for use of the auditorium.
