Miami Jewish Health is very near and dear to my heart.  Not only have I had the priviledge of working at their Foundation for the past two years as director of development and donor engagement, but I'm also very grateful to the doctors, nurses, CNA's, and physical therapists who took excellent care of my dad in 2012.  He was a patient at the Toppel Rehab facility where he was recovering from heart surgery.  When he first arrived, he didn't have the strength to walk or get out of bed by himself. Six weeks later, he was able to stand up and walk out of there on his own. They added several years to his life, and for that, I am eternally grateful.  I dedicate this page in his beloved memory.

For those of you that have never heard of Miami Jewish Health, you may recall it as "Douglas Gardens Home for the Aged."  The name may have changed a few times, but 80 years later, we continue to provide a full continuum of unparalled care for seniors in South Florida. We offer a broad spectrum of services including independent and assisted living, skilled nursing, (the largest in the state) long-term care, rehab facility, a Memory Disorder Clinic, including a planned Alzheimer's prevention clinic and revolutionary memory care village, quality of life programming, and much more. We also reimagined how we provide care to approximately 1,000 nursing home-eligible seniors (age 55+) in our community who participate in the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program.  They now make house calls to make it safer and more accessible to provide care for participants.
