Teens spend spend 4 hours with us on Saturdays from 10:30am - 2:30pm.  Buy lunch for the students.  

They deserve a break in the day at Minds Matter!  Teens spend 30 weeks from September to June for 4 hours with their mentors and tutors.  Buy lunch for the entire class.  Thinking minds are hungry minds.

Some students take public transportation, and many parents drive their teens to our program.  When families have an emergency and cannot bring their children or there isn't enough money on the bus card, we try to help.  Please help us eliminate any barriers for attendance.  Fund an Uber ride or CTA pass.

“Come on! Live a little!”  Sometimes we need a little break for a cultural excursion and a day around town.  Invest in a class field trip.

Many of our students only have their phone to get online.  Help us narrow the digital divide and provide a student a device to a sophomore.  

We send students around the country on summer programs after sophomore and junior year, and they need plane tickets.  The sky's the limit!.

Summers away from home change lives!  Help our students go beyond the city limits and experince living in community, away from what's familiar and explore new places.  We send students on summer programs that are 3-6 weeks.  Underwrite tuition for a student.

Most of our students have not visited college campuses outside of Chicago.  Invest in a 4-5 day summer college tour so we can help them see a variety of campuses.

Money is the top reason students drop out of college!  Unexpected $500 or less expenses for transportation, books, food can threaten college persistence. College students can apply for emergency funds to fill the gap.  Also, we offer modest microgant each semester to our college students when they provide us their transcript and registration for the next semester. Give a microgrant to a college student or help them with an emergency grant.
