Hello!
I'm a third-year law student at the University of Chicago and this is my third year volunteering with MMC. I joined MMC because I wanted to help support students who were once in my position.
Minds Matter Chicago (MMC) levels the playing field for Chicago’s academically dedicated, low-income, high potential college-bound teens by supporting them to and through college. Each week, I am privileged to work alongside a dedicated team of MMC volunteers and program administrators providing one-to-one mentorship and college readiness programming to talented high school students from the Chicagoland area.
MMC students are truly a remarkable bunch! For some context, 100% of our graduates are accepted to a four-year college and 99% of our graduates are enrolled in four-year college. Our students enter college with a clearer idea of purpose, sense of self, and the confidence to achieve their goals.
MMC is entirely free to students and relies on contributions to sustain our programming as we are a volunteer-based organization. Every donation makes a huge impact, so please consider supporting MMC during this season of giving.
Thanks very much for your generous support!
