Friends and Family -

As many of you know, I serve as the Executive Director for MileHigh360, a comprehensive wrap-around services program for students from high-poverty communities. MilleHigh360's mission is to ensure that socioeconomic status does not limit a child's future. 

Joining MileHigh360 is a serious commitment - membership is for up to 13 consecutive years (6th grade through age 24) and students participate year-round (after school, weekends, and summer time) in formal and informal activities centered around three core areas: Academics, Health and Wellness, and Life Skills. Everyone works hard because learning to go to college takes time, effort, grit, resources, more time, and "a village." 

I am riding in the Make Mile Matter 360 Cycling Series to support MH360's students; it is an investment in a life. Last year we raised just over $100,000. That investment yielded: 1. 100% grade level matriculation across all students; 2. 100% of the class of 2018 is attending a four-year post-secondary institution and those students secured over $200,000 in scholarship funding; and 100% of the class of 2019 has been accepted to a post-secondary institution of his or her choice. 

This year we are aiming to raise $110,000 and Francisco and I are working, with your help, to raise $10,000 of that total.  Every dollar you give is an investment in a life that will pay dividends for generations to come. 

Francisco and I will not only ride the 360 benefit ride on May 11th, but we will ride a cumulative total of over 700 miles in the month of May. It might break us, but there is no doubt that it is worth it. We will track our rides and find a way to post them, so that everyone can keep track of what we are up to.
