For Giving Tuesday this year, I'm raising funds for Minds Matter Seattle. Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future and change the world. 

When I was 15, I spent my free time watching Glee and hanging out in the Target parking lot. Now, I have the honor of working with a 15-year-old every Saturday on developing his Writing and Critical Thinking skills. This student has committed to three years of academic development and college planning to help himself succeed in his future ambitions. And Minds Matter gives him the space to explore his interests and develop the tools he needs to excel. I'm in awe of this Gen Z genius, and it's great to have a volunteer opportunity to watch him shine.
