I am so blessed to work at The Luke Clinc and am excited to share The Luke Clinic with you.
The work we do is something I feel strongly about and today and I am asking you to join me in supporting the care we give to moms and babies in Detroit.
Did you know that Detroit has the highest infant mortality in the country and if you are a black mother you are three times more likely to die than a white mother? I am constantly amazed at how different our patients' birth stories are compared to mine.
The Luke Clinic was started 7 years ago to provide free prenatal care to reduce both the infant and maternal mortality rates. We offer a one-stop-shop where patients have access to childcare, a hot meal for the family, help with transportation, ultrasound services, antenatal testing, immunizations, laboratory services, patient education programming, a clothing and infant resource closet, insurance navigation, and a mobile mother and baby clinic!
