This December we will be participating in the “2018 Move 4 Mental Health” Virtual 5K fundraiser and we need YOUR help to reach our goal!

Did you know that suicide is the second leading cause of death for people aged 10- 24? That stigma is considered to be the largest barrier to students seeking help for mental illnesses on undergrad campuses? Many experiencing mental health challenges are too afraid to seek help from family, friends or health professionals due to the effects of stigma, fear of discrimination and shame. Many are not aware that effective treatments exist and things can get better.

For a group of individuals who already carry such a heavy burden, stigma is an unacceptable addition to their pain and something which prevents them from seeking the help they need. Please help us support this much needed movement in ending stigma, reducing suffering and saving lives by helping us achieve our fundraising goal.

How to help us achieve our fundraising goal 

1. If you think you can raise more money through particpiating in the Virtual 5k and sharing your personal fundraising page with family and friends to donate then please hit the 'Register for this event' button on the right and signup as a memeber of our team. When you do any amount donated to your page will  feed into our overall goal. 

2. If you would like to donate then just hit the red 'Donate Now!' button on the right, two minutes later you'll be done. You also get donation receipt (donation to a non-profit) which may come in useful during tax season!
