My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness and save the lives of moms and babies! In November 2019 I found out about preeclampsia the hard way - a quick diagnosis after an unexpected high blood pressure reading at a routine prenatal visit. The hardest part was that it was so early - I was just 21 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately, we lost that baby, Jane. Thanks to the Preeclampsia Foundation and the research of many, in my second pregnancy, I was monitored very closely and brought home baby Elizabeth at term with just gestational hypertension, no preeclampsia at all.
