Four years ago I landed my dream job with Mystic Aquarium's Animal Rescue Program which encompasses all of my passions surrounding the ocean and marine life. I get to provide medical care to patients, respond to animals in the field, and pariticpate in research to learn more about each individual species we work with. I feel privledged to be a voice for marine mammals and sea turtles in our coverage area and honored to have the opportunity to give these animals a second chance at life. Not only do I get to work with animals, but I get to work alongside an incredibly passionate team of staff, volunteers, interns, and community members. Outside of the clinic, our team particiaptes in many outreach and educational opprotunities where we get to tell the stories of the animals that come through our clinic doors and share important conservation information to help keep their ocean home as clean as possible. Now more than ever, the ocean and these animals need our help. Wether you take action towards using a reusable waterbottle everyday, you ditch the straws and single use plastics, you participate in a beach cleanup, or you jump in the ocean at Seal Splash to help raise money for our program, YOU are making a difference. I want to thank everyone who makes changes and takes ACTION in whatever form they wish to towards a cleaner ocean and a better life for the animals that call it home. It truly takes a village to do the work that we do and it would never be possible to have such success with our Animal Rescue Program without everyone's support.
