Artistic costs that directly affect my experience in MYS exceed $100,000 each year. This amount covers our rehearsal space and concert venues, music, instruments sectional coaches, and most importantly student scholarships, creating excellent orchestral education possible for all! Hello my name is Mary Kate and I have been playing the cello since 4th Grade. Playing cello is truly one of my greatest passions in life! I was so pleased when I auditioned last February for the Minnesota Youth Symphonies and was accepted. My favorite part of MYS rehearsals is the challenge of the music and being able to play as part of a large ochestra! I have learned so much by being a part of this prestigious organization. I want to thank Claudette my conductor and I also want to thank my cello teacher Mr. Sachiya Isomura, who was with the Minnesota Orchestra for 32 years. He has taught me so, so much in the last 2 years! Thank you!
