Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When do ticket sales end?
A: Tickets sales end on September 25th at 4PM or when we're sold out, whichever comes first. We are nearly sold out. If you missed the deadline, contact Jonelle at gala@nashuachildrenshome.org or call her at 603-879-1869. We don't want you to miss out, and we will try to accomodate you.

Q: Can we walk in without securing a ticket in advance?
A: No. This is a ticket-only event, as all tables, seats, and meals are accounted for.

Q: What is the recommended attire?
A: We'd love to see you embrace the glamour and elegance of the Roaring 20's with Gatsby-inspired attire! Think vintage suits, flapper-style dresses, sequins, fringe, feathers, pearls, art deco accessories, for the men, bow ties, suspenders and hats are also great. Also, please don't stress about it, just come looking sharp & have fun! Last year's theme was a masquerde, but you can check out the photos here: 2025 gala photos

Q: Where do we park?
A: Park out back by the big white tent, the main entrance to The Event Center by Marriott (2200 Southwood Dr., Nashua - Exit 8 by Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic). If you park out front, just walk through the hotel lobby and take a left toward the ballrooms. The hotel assures us they will have signs in the main lobby directing you to our gala.

Q: Do we need to show our ticket to get in?
A: No. Just head to the check-in area and tell us your name or your party.

Q: What's this I heard about a vintage car?
A: You heard right! Thanks to a friend of NCH, we'll have his vintage car at the main entrance by the tent. It's a great photo opportunity!

Q: Is it a cash bar?
A: Yes. And be sure to check out the Signature Drinks, sponsored by Lynch's Landscaping!

Q: Is the silent auction online or on paper?
A: Silent auction bidding is online again this year (bidding opens Sept 26th and ends Oct 3 at 7PM). View what's up for grabs by clicking here - all items will be on display at the gala. We realize that some people prefer paper bidding and we seriously considered it for this year. However, it is significantly more work for our staff and felt we could offer better service with online bidding. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will participate. This can be done via the web (click here) and log in to set up your bidding.

Q: How can I participate in the silent auction?
A: It's online! It's easy but we recommend setting it up before you arrive (if attending the gala in person).
1. Go to www.NCHgala.org or just click here.
2. On the menu, Click “Bid on Auction Items".
3. Log in with your email address & if not found, it will promt you to register (free).

4. Set up your payment information, then you can start bidding! No charges will be applied until the end, if you've won.

Q: Is there an app for the mobile bidding?
A: Yes, it is called "givi" (mobile donations app). It is not required, but it's a great app.
1. Download the app and click "Join and Find Event".
2. Enter your email. If your email address is not found, it will prompt you to register (free).
3. Set up your payment method, then you can start bidding! No charges will be applied until the end, if you've won.

Q: Someone bought a ticket on my behalf. Why have I not received my ticket or any details?
A: We encourage ticket purchasers to provide us with their guest's e-mail so that we can keep everyone in their group informed. Ticket purchasers can click on "manage tickets" in their ticket e-mail to update your details. If they can't find it, we can re-send it to them. Reach out to Jonelle at 603-879-1869 or e-mail gala@nashuachildrenshome.org.

Q: What is on the menu?
A: Appetizers: vegetable spring rolls, scallops wrapped in bacon, antipasto skewers, domestic cheeses and accompaniments. Dinner: Artisan field green salad, and your choice of chicken caprese, espresso rubbed top sirloin steak, or spinach & roasted garlic ravioli. Dessert: Tiramisu tulip.

Q: Will you accomodate food allergies and/or ADA needs?
A: Yes. There is an option when registering, to inform us about such requirements, and we will convey it to the hotel. Additonally, the hotel staff will be coming by the tables to confirm meals, be sure to tell them at that time as well.
