In honor of Natalie's 13th birthday on August 19, we are raising money for Nevus Outreach, Inc. This organization has supported our family and our journey with Natalie's congenital melanocytic nevi. She was born with several large, dark nevi and many smaller satellite birthmarks all over her body and head. Natalie even continues to find new spots (moles) have developed years later. While trying to find answers and encouragement after her birth, we were directed to Nevus Outreach, a grassroots non-profit dedicated to improving awareness, providing support for people affected by large congenital melanocytic nevi and finding a cure. 

In 2018, we attended our fifth international conference in Schaumburg, Illinois hosted by Nevus Outreach. Next year, we will travel to Colorado Springs, Colorado for the 12th Biennial International Conference and Reunion to reconnect with friends, hear from medical and psychosocial doctors, learn about their research, and support new nevus families just beginning their journey. It is such an amazing experience to see new attendees - both children and adults - meet other nevus owners, especially when they felt so alone in their skin.

In addition to being the go-to informational source for this condition, Nevus Outreach funds medical research in the United States and Europe.
