I first donated to New Moms a few years ago to support their Operation Santa fundraiser and when I learned more about the organization I was really impressed with their mission. I love that they provide holistic wrap around support to the young moms with whom they work. In my 20 years of work as an early intervention physical therapist, I can see how important that type of wrap around support is. I also love that their support is guided by the individual's mom's goals for life, whether it is supporting her in continuing with school or getting job training, etc. I decided that I wanted to do more to support this organization and instead of just volunteering my time, I am now into my second year on the associate board helping with their events and fundraising and it has been such a great experience!
