As a board member of New Moms, I’ve had the incredible privilege of seeing the profound difference this organization makes in the lives of young moms and their children.
New Moms is especially important to me because I remember what it was like to be a first-time mom. Even with a strong support system, including my supportive husband and family, the experience was still scary and overwhelming. I can’t imagine navigating those challenges alone, and I believe every new mom deserves the kind of support I was fortunate to have. New Moms provides that support—and so much more.
New Moms empowers young mothers experiencing poverty and homelessness by walking alongside them during one of the most challenging times of their lives. They help expectant moms have healthy, empowered births and enter motherhood with confidence. They provide stable housing, meaningful employment opportunities, and a community of care that no mom should have to go without.
