Oliver Cohlan Hughes was stillborn on January 25, 2013 at 34 weeks gestation after what we were told was a "normal pregnancy".  We were left with nothing by shock when we were told there was no heartbeat at the doctor's office.  Since losing Oliver 5 years ago we have come to know this familiar story far too many times from families we have met who have also experienced a stillbirth.  We need more research, more education, more steps towards prevention in order to lower the alarming statistic of 1 in 160 babies who are stillborn.  As the chair of the Star Legacy Foundation NY Metro Chapter we are working to make a difference and to raise awareness for this imporant cause that is not given nearly enough attention.  We need and so appreciate your support in helping us reach our fundraising goals in order to save the lives of many precious babies.  Please join our team and walk or run with us or make a donation, no matter the amount your contribution will make a difference.
